This was a great video, in that it pointed out a goofy mistake I was making, to add the Gmail account to my iPad. Note, it is somewhat "incorrect" to say you are adding a Gmail account, because there is no option to specifically add a Gmail account. When you open the screen for adding an "account", you are provided a picklist of 6 name brands, such as iCloud, Google, Yahoo!, etc. Then, there is one more option which is "Other". If you take the other option, you might be going down a rabbit hole. The trick here is to understand that the Google option is the one to select for adding a Gmail option. Then, if you follow this workflow, you only need to enter your Gmail email name/address and then your Gmail password. You will not need to add additional info for imap and smtp fields. Hope this makes sense.
