About the COEH Online Human Factors & Ergonomics Program

Created by experts at the University of California Ergonomics Research & Graduate Training Program and Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, this online program not only delivers training on the latest knowledge and best practices in HF/E, but also provides a deeper dive into advanced topics and graduate level curriculum.

This program will help you understand how to design work tasks, tools, and workstations to minimize cognitive and physical loads, reduce fatigue and injury, and improve productivity. Coursework includes lectures on engineering, design, physiology, anthropometry, biomechanics, public health, statistics, environmental health sciences, exposure and risk assessment, root cause analysis, and more. This is not your typical online certification and requires higher-level competence and performance to succeed.

The Online Ergonomics Program is also mapped to Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE) certification skills to help prepare you for CPE certification. Courses can also be used to demonstrate competency and fulfill educational requirements by the Canadian College for the Certification of Professional Ergonomics (CCPE).
