- It's never too late.
- Kids still use crayons.
- Speaking as a former child, it can make a lot of kids feel better.
- Adults are the ONLY ones that can screw this up.
- Give the kids the crayons and all adults keep your mouths SHUT.

Lol the color names aren’t weird, makeup companies use those all the time. I just wish I had it as a kid 😂 hell my mom bought me that huge box of crayons with the sharpener on the back and none of those colors were options

Tbh I’m not even mad at this one, sounds like a good idea. Just wish they had a wider variety of skin shades, for lighter and darker people. Still good though because I hated used red to color my people on my crayon books😂😂

I agree it should have been a thing a long time ago when I was trying to create a portrait of the Hands Across American campaign in my 2nd grade art class.

I was an "inside kid" when I was young back in the early-mid 90's and loved to draw/color... there was already flesh toned crayons. It was dope. The relaunch is dope. Lets celebrate diversity and stop trying to find a problem with everything. And the names are cute and inclusive. Like I'm hype af to be the deepest almond 😂 sounds sexy.

I honestly think it's a great idea. As a kid, I've wondered why there was a 'flesh' crayon but it was pink. To get my skin tone I would go really lightly with a brown crayon.

I find this cute
Nothing weird about it the names remind me of makeup products 🤣 yes I tried to compare mine to the box but skin tone is like a weird red and brown lol
It's all good 👍😄

I liked Crayola colored pencils more and I would remember the only "skin tone" color they had was Apricot. As somebody who draws for a hobby, this is actually a great idea from Crayola because now everybody would be able to color in portraits to match with real skin tones without making a sloppy blend of colors. As weird as the names do sound, I doubt anybody would have a problem with it. I mean, when has Crayola not come up with weird names to describe those perfect shades of colors that we need for our drawings? It's just a part of their uniqueness as an art supply company.

Ok so, I’m “that mom” whose children still color and use crayons, color pencils, paint, play dough, etc (ages 7-13). Two of them have been quite frustrated on numerous occasions because they COULD NOT find the right color to draw/ color a particular piece of work. My oldest has won first place for the past 3years for her drawings. So, yes this is a good thing. HOWEVER, you are CORRECT! There be any issue with the colors or the names of the colors or how they made the colors or the color of the BOX! Because folks are petty and NEVVA satisfied. Ok, I’m done, who needs my soapbox? 🙋🏽‍♀️

As an artist having skin tone colors are low key beneficial

When I was little, about 1960-1961 I was doing skin color with pink and brown, varying how hard to press with the crayon to get different shades. Because my family was different shades of pink and brown.
60+ years later, Crayola finally makes the skin colors.

It’s a good thing kids still exist and kids still draw and go to school😂 Adults need to stay out of kid business😂

I bought some! Still have them, haven’t used them yet..lol. They’re pretty much labeled as the makeup colors when you go to get foundations & concealers.

As a nursery teacher, skin tone Crayola is an excellent idea. When we plan for example; 'Understanding the World' activities, we search for ways to make it inclusive and these Crayola boxes helps with that.
