After the shepherd's wagon I'm shifting gears to open another store in town to help preserve the local history of Joliet. Come along and see what's coming soon.

Spring for mugs, tee-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies.

Did anyone else watch the start of this video with a sinking feeling, fearing that Dave was about to tell us that the sheep wagon and manure spreader were his final projects and that he was retiring?

You have been a history class, carriage shop, woodworking tutoring school, covering so many trades and skills, teaching us along the way. Thanks to you I have learned so much, I thank you for the lessons, the new skills, and more then a few tips and tricks. Living history, so precious, please do save it for those to come!

Yes, it was the Borax wagon series that introduce me to this channel, and I have been here ever since! I am SO glad to have been a viewing partner of what I consider to be one of the best channels on YT! I cannot adequately express how much joy, knowledge and insight you give me in these videos!

Dave, you and Rick are legends in this type of history. To Mrs Engles, thank you for your service.
It's a shame that many things in our worlds history is falling away. Not many want to preserve such things. It's services such as this as to what has brought our society to what we have and take for granted today. Much admiration to you Dave and Mrs Engels and to Rick for doing such fine work. I feel it shouldn't just be you that helps to preserve such history, more needs to get involved to help with this. As always, thank you for sharing and always bringing us along for the adventure(s) that come forth. Cheers :)

Thanks, Dave and Diane!! 😊 I’m always delighted when I remember ‘why’ the WINDSHIELD is bigger than the REARVIEW MIRROR. The ability to anticipate the future isn’t always given to folks. Way to Go!!!

Dave, your subject today makes Perfect sense. It goes hand in hand with preserving history at your Coach Shop, that you would expand your realm to the City Of Joliet. This is going to be a Grand Journey that I am looking forward to following. Please send your Wife my 'Thank You' for her service to this great nation. Awesome presentation, by the way.

I am very close to your age. I remember a simpler, better time. Joliet seems, at least from listening to you and your channel, to be a place in time long gone. Preserving it is important to not only the residents, but to old farts like me who were blessed to grow up in a small town and the benefits of doing so. Thank you and God Bless!

I am a historical miniatures wargamer and was a member of a artillery re-enactment group in Victoria.Australia.
It was your videos of building the French and Spanish cannon wheels that introduced me to your amazing work and I have been following your videos with interest ever since. I'm 61 next month with kidney issues and a recent cancer diagnosis and your videos have been a wonderful and informative experience that always brightens my day.
I'm looking forward to watching these future plans come to fruition.
Congratulations.

I'll be watching no matter what you are doing. I don't care if it's sanding or remodeling buildings. When you get everything finished I may even drive from Virginia to visit. Thank you for keeping history alive.

Hi, Dave. I was one of those crazy people on vacation who stopped by last week. Thanks so much to you and Diane for letting me poke my head in the shop. I could have spent hours there, but didn't want to waste your time. I should have taken you up on your offer to let me help sweep the shop! Now my kids are tired of hearing me talk about you! Best of luck with the new venture.
