It's a shame that many things in our worlds history is falling away. Not many want to preserve such things. It's services such as this as to what has brought our society to what we have and take for granted today. Much admiration to you Dave and Mrs Engels and to Rick for doing such fine work. I feel it shouldn't just be you that helps to preserve such history, more needs to get involved to help with this. I am very close to your age. I remember a simpler, better time. Joliet seems, at least from listening to you and your channel, to be a place in time long gone. I am a historical miniatures wargamer and was a member of a artillery re-enactment group in Victoria.Australia.
It was your videos of building the French and Spanish cannon wheels that introduced me to your amazing work and I have been following your videos with interest ever since. I'm 61 next month with kidney issues and a recent cancer diagnosis and your videos have been a wonderful and informative experience that always brightens my day.
