A lack of Spinosaurus news but nobody's perfect.

This was one of the best 7 days of science in a while, lots of fun stuff in this one!

As a pterosaur enthusiast I could not be happier

it always exciting whenever a new Crocodylomorph is found in the fossil record due to them being a fascinating group of archosaurs that don't get much attention in paleo media as their dinosaur relatives.

I would love to have seen Homo Floresiensis. Plus I will always call them Fairy Penguins rather than Little Penguins. So cute.

I live in San Bernardino county, CA. There's been so many fires in the area this summer :(

the arrival of homo sapiens seems to have caused quite a lot of trouble over the past 300, 000 years or so...

One of my coworkers had to be evacuated because of these damn fires.

The Solnhofen Limestone is one of those paleornvironments I daydream about, I can just imagine the crystal-clear water, dense troipcal conifer forests and pterosaurs soaring along the coast, yet another jewel in the crown of Jurassic marine formations

There must have been so much stuff happening in prehistoric times that we will never have a clue about. 🤔

Any week a new paleo-croc is named is a good week! I particularly found the potential niche partitioning aspect quite interesting. Thank you for informing us of this amazing discovery!

Hmm, why do i suddenly get the urge to binge all of star trek. I dont know, but something has drilled it into my mind... probably nothing, right im off Kirk, Pike, Picard, Archer, Janeway, Sisko, Burnham et al. Are waiting for me.

The warp drive is far more interesting, IMO, for a realistic slower than light travel. FTL allows time travel, which I don't think is possible. But travel at say a "mere" 10 or 20 percent the speed of light would be amazing beyond belief. People tend to underestimate just how big space truly is. Not to mention how slow all other known forms of rocketry are.

Love seeing the new fossil finds and any updates on prehistoric animals.

Leonardo Da Vinci was specualting about how manned powered flight could work centuries before we achieved it. Us speculating now about how a warp drive could function is likely in the same vein.

This text is a script for a science news segment titled "7 Days of Science, " which covers various recent scientific discoveries and events. It includes news about a spinning iceberg, warp drive research, wildfires, a new pterosaur species, a prehistoric crocodile with crushing teeth, a tiny prehistoric penguin, the K-Pg extinction's influence on bird genetics, and new Homo floresiensis fossil findings. The segment concludes with a call to follow for more short-form science videos.

More frequent wildfires highlights the need for controlled burns of undergrowth, as a safety measure to prevent wildfires. Australia had it right for tens of thousands of years.
