Only recently come across your tutorials... So clear & to the point, I'm learning simple things that I'd overlooked... I'm wondering how I could have got this far with such a lack of basic knowledge...thanks!

Thank you for this - I found it very useful unlike the irritant below. Can I just ask what the channel strip to the immediate right of the one you run through in the video? Thank you.

thanks, your tutorials are excellent! I have a question though... I have been an Ableton live user making techno/minimal for years now... and always wanted to learn Logic, for some reason it just makes more sense to me and seems more professional than just ableton. However, I know, that Ableton is way more intuitive for making electronic music. I've recently got an iPad, and can use it with the new Logic X to control it, which is a nice feature... but, am I gonna be as efficient as in Ableton ?

I'm having some trouble with input monitoring: right now under settings>audio I have "software monitoring" unchecked, because when I check that box it tries to monitor while I'm recording and I get latency issues (and I don't need it anyway because I monitor through my interface while recording). But when that box is unchecked the input monitoring on individual channels won't work at all, even when "I" is checked. Is there a way to enable the "I" without having logic monitor while I record?

can you change the channel strip settings without changing the instrument? for example I find a sound I want to use in Sylenth and want to toggle through channel strip settings to add effects but I don't want Sylenth to change to ES1.

Cheers

It's like Russel Brand made a baby with a bottle of sleeping pills.  I  made it two whole minutes before I wanted sharks to gnaw off my ears rather than listen to one more second of this monotone platitudinarian.
