This video will show you how to remove a rear bumper from a 1998 through 2004 Volvo C70. It will likely work for other Volvo models as well.

Thanks Robert.  Hopefully I will never have to remove my rear bumper but as these C70's are such a pig to reverse you can never say never.  I ve got parking sensors to undo but the rest should be the same. Thanks

I just swapped out a bumper cover on a 1999 c70 very much like the one that you had in your video. It had a wire in the upper right corner with a single lead in a two pin connector. I dug into my old bumper and the wire goes to a flat metal plate that is pinned to the foam core under the cover. I am wondering what this plate is for. I looked in the parts lists online and did not see it called out. i can only guess it may be some type of antenna. Do you have any idea? Thanks for your videos. They are always great.

Hi Robert, I really appreciate your DIY videos. It helped me alot since I bought my 2002 S80. An old car makes you mechanic :)
I need to put my reversing sensors to rear bumper, but couldn't find a video of a 2002 S80. Can you advise the link if you have. I guess removal is different from the one in this video.

That looked easy enough robert, and the fixings didnt look rusted to death as with most underside parts :)

NEVER pull on the things beneath de taillights! The upper side of them need te be attached with the body! Otherwise you will break the clips! (I screwed mine....)
