unfortunately thats not how people open a flip phone with one hand against their pants. the pressure falls on one corner not the center

It would be more of a test if you had to take it out of a pocket or purse and unfold it several thousand times.

This isn't a very well orchestrated test considering folding typically doesn't happen in quick succession meaning the metals and structure in the phone are likely retaining more heat energy than normal folding behavior. I garuntee this will cause it to give up substantially sooner.

I really want to get one of these phones. I used to have a flip phone when I was younger and I used to use it as a fidget toy. so the LCD or whatever it is better hold up to my expectations.

Back then I bought the Flip 3 and after not even 2 years it shut down as soon as I was flipping it. It is not fun walking around with an open and really long flip phone all the time...
