We sat down for a chat with the volunteers who run the Liverpool Tool Library, an innovative project that aims to reduce unnecessary waste, guarantee a right of access to tools to anyone who may need them, as well as give the residents of Liverpool an opportunity to start their DIY projects without needing to spend a fortune on tools they may never use again.

The Liverpool Tool Library is a community-driven project and Imogen, Ally and Jamie spend their free time checking and refurbishing donated tools.

Anyone can sign up and, for as little as £20 a year, you can borrow whatever tools you might need for all the projects you’ve been planning in your sleepless nights.
