My first set was isla de la muerta. My first game was lego POTC. It was also my first Disney movie. Every part of pirates is packed with nostalgia for me

I got the Queen Anne's revenge set when I was a kid, and I still have it in all of it's glory on my shelf. A truly great set.

The island of death and the fountain of youth are the only sets I've wanted.

Had Death Island and the Fountain of Youth in the old collection.
I kept using the blue cylinders from the Fountain to make TARDIS interiors.

I was lucky to find a Isla de MUERTA set on ebay for pretty cheap a year and a half ago. And before that I got a KO of the black pearl. Such a gorgeous ship. Cost 30 bucks too. Worth it.

And Mega Blocks had the Pearl, Flying Dutchman, and one of the Chinese pirate ships. Also they had plenty of larger play sets for that theme. Sadly Lego only got the license for PotC after the good movies were done.

Isla de Muerta would translate more as "Dead island".
In spanish islands names are usually spelled without the word "island" in them. Canarias islands in spanish is said just "Las Canarias" (The Canarias).
So Isla de Muerta would be just "Muerta" (Dead, female).
