That is an accurate statement. I loved watching simple matches that involved midcard wrestlers. Goldust, X-Pac, Rikishi, Hurricane, Val Venis, Gangrel, Edge, etc. the show was always entertaining.

Attitude Era had some of the most to this day recognizable mid-card wrestlers and most were used, people actually cared not just the main eventers but the mid even low mid-card were given time to shine with the main eventers and even when the mid-card lose they felt protected in a way at least for the most part, it was good.

Jericho, Beniot, Guerrero, Rey Mysterio Jr was the mid card. Worked with each other every week. Never got a shot. All are Hof today 😅

Very true. Props to him for being honest. Wwe had Stone Cold & Rock, as well as others these 2 def. Took it to another level. Wcw was loaded with stars and the creative team didnt know what to do after NWO storyline.
