*ABOUT TUTTLE TWINS*

How do you describe economics to your children? Should your preteen care about the government? For too long, parents have been at the mercy of professional curriculum developers to teach their children. History is watered down, key principles omitted altogether, and time and attention are given to things of lesser importance. Not anymore! Tuttle Twins is the first cartoon series to teach kids about freedom, economics, and government.

The mission of Tuttle Twins is to reach 100 million kids, so in 10 years, when those kids are entering colleges and voting booths, their communities and our world will be a more free place. Millions of families that have bought the original Tuttle Twins books by Connor Boyack have found that stories are a great way to educate and entertain kids in ways school can't.

In every episode, twin siblings Ethan and Emily Tuttle join their Grandma Gabby on crazy time-traveling adventures. Together they visit important places in history and meet well-known historical figures such as Benjamin Franklin, Frederic Bastiat, Susan B. Anthony, Milton Freidman, Adam Smith, Harriett Tubman and more!

Tuttle Twins helps parents teach their children important lessons about freedom, individual rights, economics, entrepreneurship, the golden rule, free speech, personal responsibility, government and more! Yo, I just saw this thing from a Short. It's crazy how I understood more about Inflation from that one short than asking google multiple times.

I prayed for this kind of content for kids. Cartoons nowadays are trash. Nothing valuable that kids can learn. Thank you 🙏

Gas prices has gone up like crazy (especially in California), housing bills has gotten worse in Oregon to the point where there's more homeless people in Portland than ever, and alot of empty apartments and houses.

Can I translate this to German? Children with other native languages need to hear this important truth, too!

I saw this recommended on shorts first and posted a comment. Which feels worth pasting here as well:

The idea that the metal value of a currency has a direct relationship to inflation is very questionable.

For example under Septimius Severus, the Denarius was 78.5% pure with 2.46 grams of silver. But over time to by when Aurelian has become emperor, the coins were barely plated in silver. By some accounts the Denarius in 268 were only 0.5% silver.
Now if the value in a coin lies in the silver, and in 193 the coin contained 78.5% silver, while in 268 the coin was only 0.5% silver,
Then we could assume that inflation increased by 15600% or something like that. Which simply was not the case. The debasments of the currency never led to a massive expansion of money supply either.

And then when Aurelian came to try and reform the currency, it ended up collapsing around 274 with massive inflation. Despite the massive increase in silver content of new coins.

Money is just an abstract representation of value in the end, which lets other things have an exchange value. The probably most important factor is that the currency in question is backed in some way, that it has a use and "legitimacy". For the Roman Empire, by the fact that it paid in and taxed in Denarii meant that there was something tangible to it.
The useful thing with metal coins though is of course that it has metal which can be used for other things other than as currency; use value. But that doesn't at all mean it has some inherent value as a currency. None of these metals contain an inherent value in them outside what circumstance gives them.

The only government I know that has accepted stagnation rather than inflation or deflation is Japan. Salaries have stayed constant, cost of living has stayed constant, just about everything is constant.

Anyone ever realize that this cartoon exposed the banking industry?!?!?

Ok so I’m kinda confused here because ancient Roman money part I understand as gold was hard to come by, but how in this new era are we creating money by cheating? There are many factors that play into inflation it’s not that the government is creating money out of thin air though. That’s not how that works.
