Song of the Week - #11 - 'Speak The Word' - Tommy Walker

One of the things I have always loved about my wife Robin is her love for the Bible. Give her a cup of coffee and God’s Word and she can just drink it in for hours. Here’s a verse that makes me think of her.

Psalms 1:2
But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. 3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

We live in a day and age where what’s become acceptable is to decide what truth is, based on what seems or feels right to us. For me, I wouldn’t want to trust my own limited understanding and flawed perceptions to conceive a philosophy for life or to figure out my eternal future.
I have chosen to put all my trust in God’s Word, which has continued to prove itself true for thousands of years, and for millions of believers.
This is why I believe we must keep going to it, memorizing it, singing it and speaking it over and over again which is the prayer of this song.

I found this song over a week ago and I can not stop listening to it. The presence of the Holy Spirit is felt in the words. This song is indeed divine and medicine for the soul of humanity. God is pleased here. You all are truly anointed vessels that God is using in these perilous times in which we now live. The Word of God is sharper than a two edge sword and it penetrates the bone and marrow. My heart and eyes gets so full every time I listen to this song. It reminds me of the power of God's Word and how it transformed my life. I am no longer the same, for I am a new creation in Christ Jesus because of the word!. April 1998 I found Jesus in the backyard of my home at 10pm when I was in distress about current situations in my life at that time. BUT GOD!!! 5 years later, March 16th, He called me to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No turning back! SPEAK THE WORD!! It is the WORD that has the power to break every chain! I am a witness! O GOD, I THANK YOU!! I thank God for you also Tommy Walker Ministries for your obedience to God in writing this song and sharing it with the world. I AM TRULY BLESSED BY IT!! I was writing my report and this song was in "Discover Weekly" in my Spotify account. I had to stop writing because I was saying "Amen" to almost every lyric and look for a youtube video of this song. How the melody soothe my heart, making it at peace just by hearing this song.
