I washed one set keys once and my rubicon would unlock every time the key was near... Sometimes the alarm would randomly go off too. I had to take out the battery and use the other key.

Casey, I had a similar problem with my 2007 Rubicon, I had to take the battery out of my second remote and leave it out. It seemed like they were interfering with each other.

Sadly this is probably going to require a trip to the dealer. You can inspect the touch points on the handles to see they are damaged, as the car seems to think that they are being touched as you approach with the key. But if they look visually ok then you're going to need someone that can access the computer to see why it thinks the touch sensors are being activated.

Yet another issue to the long list you have to this point...

My wife has that issue on her 08 challenger... you lock it, you walk away, and the doors unlock as well as the windows roll down halfway. Its weird, and doesn't always do it. Good luck bro.

Looks like an issue with your Key fob. Have you tried to use the other fob to see if the problem still happens. Could be a low battery or a stuck button (in the clip, you can see the LED flashing on the fob).

I’ve had intermittent computer issues on a 2006 Jeep. The quick fix was to disconnect the battery for a minute, the reconnect. Reset the computer and the problem went away for a while. Not sure if that will work on your new one, but simple thing to try. If you have a code reader, get the code before disconnecting the battery.

Some vehicles (e.g. VW) do that when there is a failure in the battery or the connection to it, but if you also have proximity locks, the interrogator could be in fault.

Good luck getting Jeep to cover that after all the mods…😞

What doesn’t it do over and over when locked, it is difficult to read the instrument panel. Thanks! Could it be the remote battery?

Wrangler sahara 2020 eu model was one of the crappies experience we had… basically engine check all the time… one time engine got a “stroke” and exploded catalytic converter. Shock absorbers were poor quality, needed to replace. During -10C, music amplifier stops working, rear camera too. And on top of everything, car dealers maintenance was as bad as possible - they basically had to order break pads which were not on stock…

Have you tried the other fob? Have you trying reading for codes? Have you unplugged the battery to reset the computers?

I have same problem with a 2013 Sahara JKU. Started doing it randomly since end last year. Headlights would flash on and off as if you are unlocking. Took key apart, cleaned terminals, used contact cleaner... Had a worn out negative terminal on the Jeep's battery. That was replace. Still no fix as yet...

Change the batteries in both key fobs. My dodge was doing that, and thats all it took to fix. Could be that simple

Are you leaving your key fob in the vehicle overnight?

Could it be related to the Tazer JL? Can you uninstall it and see if issue is still there?

I see you said both fobs do it. How are your fuses and relays in the engine bay. Is everything seated snuggly?

Talking about problems... did your windshield cracked already due to the defrost?

Chris Shotz of Venture4WD had this problem with his JK . Straining my brain trying to remember how he solved it.
