You got a thumbs up just for covering this one! Bravo...66 year old 37 year sober hippie here! Lol, can't say I I remember it all, but what I do remember was pretty much a gas! 😉😉 Dr. Hook was an amazing performer! May he RIP!

These guys always had so much fun on stage, joking and goofing around and still play the stars straight out of heaven... playing disco pop, rock, country and whatever and even Yodel ! LOL . Never seen a band do all that and have so much fun on stage

I remember first hearing Dr Hook I was 8/9yo in 1992/93 in my Dad’s Green Ford Capri 280.. I hijacked the cassette tape and wore it out 😂, still listening to them and appreciate and obviously gradually understood the songs lyrics

I love this song. It reminds me of every stoner I’ve ever met. LOL

BTW, Dr. Hook was the name of the band and not any person in the band. The original name of the band was Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show which was shortened to just Dr. Hook.

Ray Sawyer, the guy in the hat, eye patch and blue silk shirt was often mistaken as “Dr. Hook”.

The guy who sang lead on this song was the original founder of the band. He does a hillarious bit in their song Cover of The Rolling Stone where he sings, in a baritone voice, about his woman and his father.

This band is one of the most underrated bands of the 70’s. Their discography is surprisingly diverse and the consistently charted songs through out the entire decade. They are definitely a RnR HoF worthy but you know how it is with the clueless NYC clique that run the HoF. They don’t stand a chance as you can’t really box Dr. Hook into any particular genre and they were a very fun and entertaining live show.

Definitely a 70’s Band worth going down the Rabbit Hole and you’ll be surprised by the variety of their songs.

I love your reaction I'm 70 years old and they are still my favorite band. You should watch their other videos, they are really incredible musicians.

Dr.Hook was a band and not a person.Dennis Locorrier and Ray Sawyer sang most of their songs, but this was sung by I think Billy Francis, the keyboard player. They were a fun band to see and hear. Thanks for this reaction, you are one of the better reactors I've watched and I've watched a lot.Peace to you and thanks for this!

Dr Hook would get so messed up in concert they had to give refunds, lol.

Haven't heard this song in years. Sure did sing it a lot back in the day. There was even a group in San Diego that did it for dinner theater. Dr. Hook was a 70s band that carried over into the 80s. Some of their stuff is just beautiful and some ridiculously funny. So if you're up to it, try Freaking a the Freakers Ball. It's one of the funny ones.

I've never been so stoned that I didn't remember a night of passion, but I have stoned enough to have gone to bed with a "10" and woke up the next morning with a"01" 🤪
BTW This performance was in the 80s, but the song originally came out in 72 or 73.
