Nintendo Switch 2's Reveal Is Looking Imminent Now...

The now confirmed Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase for 8.27.2024 appears to be strongly suggesting Nintendo is almost finally ready to reveal the Nintendo Switch successor, what we have been calling the Nintendo Switch 2.

Yeah Brazil was right about the directs being pushed from September to August so it seems like the Switch 2 will be announced in September! So hyped! I hope 3D Mario will be ready for launch, but from how popular MK8 DX been on Switch a new Mario Kart wouldn't be so bad either. And Monster hunter is really big in Japan so that would make sense for an early release.

It is interesting to note, the Nintendo Museum, 3rd party games and Indie games Have and Could Be in General Directs but are now cleared out of the way. And Echoes of Wisdom had in depth boost for a week, so that's off the table too.
It sounds like there will no need for a General Direct, so what else does Nintendo want to do in September? Really seems to be only one answer, yes?

This is crazy I never seen Nintendo do two showcase. This is proof that we might see switch 2 in September or early October. Crazy. 😂😅 this just proof with that June direct is all the games Nintendo is making for switch right now and now these are the third games turn and indie. Can’t wait to see next month or October. 😂😅

Very interesting they're doing both a partner direct and an indie world in one presentation, really feels like they're getting all the big third party announcements out of the way and I imagine the remaining first party games will just get twitter drops from here on out

I remain skeptical of any next gen announcement happening anytime soon, I do agree because of these two presentations happening tomorrow means there will be no general Direct in September

reason it in August is because it a Pokemon game. Pokemon company always show games in August

At this point we could still get a general direct in September. Before the Switch launched there was a 3DS focused direct on Sept 1, 2016. I would like to see Nintendo combine a direct with the reveal so we can get some upcoming game announcements at the same time. Wednesday Sept 11th seems like a likely time to drop an announcement being the 2nd Wednesday of September. Here's hoping.

It is interesting they have it in August when it’s usually in September and the leakers were saying the indie was moved to September. It’s very possible something big is in September maybe early October and hopefully you guys are right and it’s the Switch 2

Nothing is being revealed til March 2025. Switch 2 will come out 4th quarter of 25. Stop getting your hopes up.

I agree with just about everything in this video!

A lot of recent speculation hasn't really seemed too realistic, but I think Nintendo wants to make sure they control the message & marketing hype before the leaks do it for them.

And you're right, once things go into mass production, you're far more likely to start seeing leaks. I'm not sure if a September reveal is imminent, but I do think it would be smart to do one before the end of the year.

Fans want Nintendo to hold off until they beat the PS2 lifetime sales figure, but Nintendo is a business first & foremost. They know exactly how well (or not well) Switch is selling atm, and it'd be silly to risk killing momentum of your next gen system to chase some arbitrary milestone.

Let the people who want to buy a Switch this holiday do so while being fully aware of the upcoming system. No need to try & hide things from them to eek out more sales. If the Switch is still worth it to them, cool.

But don't hide Switch 2 in an attempt to undermine consumers into buying Switch 1's this holiday by pretending it's not about to be replaced anyway.

I also believe that a reveal of the successor is imminent. Gamescom and VGAs are the wrong audience or at least an audience nintendo isn't aiming for. Tokyo game show seems best. Also I'm hoping for more metroid of course (making this a running gag now :))
