Mike is awesome, incredibly knowledgeable and something I really appreciate, very honest and straight forward.
I trust him fully and would recommend anyone on grid or off grid to trust his advise.

What sort of system would you recommend for someone who lives in an area where there are often power outages that can last for several days.
Ideally it would be an on-grid system that would function off grid for a day or so at a time. Would that need two inverters?
How do these systems prevent any power being sent into the grid (to prevent injury to linemen) when there is a blackout?

I use the term "essential circuit" rather than "dedicated circuit". But yes, better to say these than "backup". Good stuff

what about hybrid inverters that can run in parallel?
I run 2 x lux power tec lxp5k inverters wit a UPS output of 3.6kw per inverter for 7.2kw combined as I don't think my draw would ever go above that ( i could always add more inverters and batteries if it did) that could be used for full of grid use I believe.

So a hybrid inverter is not suitable to work with an existing house installation and if we want to reduce our electricity bill we would need a separate wiring system for house apliances not exciding the inverter rating. Is that correct?

Can you suggest a good inverter for full off grid I need to run 4800w for 12 hours a day does a hybrid inverter charge your batteries as well.
I have 10 100amh batteries do you think I will need more
Cheers

Hello! Great video, thanks for the explanation. So according to your video a Solax X1-Hybrid 3.7 - D is not applicable for 100% OFF grid applications, correct. That would explain why I have experienced an Overload fault when the battery pack reaches 100% charge at peak sunlight and my Solax inverter or battery controller isn't cutting off the charging when the batteries are at 100% and the system enters in Overload.

I have a solar hybrid inverter with an inbuilt pwm charge controller. I would like to change to an mppt controller, but I don't want to loose the function of the inverter switching between grid and solar. Is there a way to use an mppt controller and have the inverter retain this ability so it can reduce my bills?

Heard of this youtube channel via Tesla Tom (Ludicrous Feed)

you missed the much larger hybrid inverters...
mpp solar makes them up to 10 kw....

Any plans to buy a Tesla EV or you already own one?

About now I bet you wish we had the franklin and nuclear, larger grids to support solar across time zones, long east west grids of 4000km would be feasible in many countries, like Russia China Europe

Explaination not straightforward...I clicked on this video coz I wanted to know the difference between the two...

Hard to understand with your accent but more than that, it was not a clear explanation of the differences. You might know them but they’re not clearly explained here. I just can’t follow you and will keep on looking for easier to understand and better explained videos. 🤷🏻‍♂️
