Only a few investors buy stocks at discount during bear markets. All other investors buy at premium during roaring bull markets. Investors who buy during bear markets have three qualities: Understanding of businesses, Conviction, Long term horizon..

If you want a Tech CEF that pays dividends, look at STK, which has better: Sharpe Ratios, higher Alpha, & more consistent study returns vs. BST which moves like a roller coaster.

I think I would stick to JEPQ if it behaves like JEPI. BST is too volatile and their fees are insanely high.

Rising interest rates will impact the tech sector in the near future. That is the primary reason none of the tech stock bounces we saw in the last month were substantial and long lasting. IMO buying into such funds with very high expense ratio is not a good idea, unless all that the investor wants is just dividends. Even then JEPQ may be a better option where the yield is similar to BST and capital may be preserved!

While I do believe a bigger dip is coming and it may pay to be PAYtient A.K.A hold off for a moment or two or even to the end of the month for any major investments, it is important to be dollar cost averaging into positions... especially safe investments like an ETF or index.. VTI is my fund of choice as it covers the broad market with both growth and value... Bogle's suggestion!

Seems like I'm the only one that talks about BSTs tax treatment. This RIC fund has dividends that are qualified.
Most dividend investors are proud of their yield on cost getting close to 8% after 20 years of holding and the fact that they're qualified dividends.
No need to wait 20 years for that 8% yield on BST

Really appreciate you taking the time and effort of putting it out there. Look forward to watching more of your great content. With inflation, at 9.1% that means increased rate hikes are likely. Inflation is becoming entrenched and this is exactly what investors worry about the most, the Fed will likely hike rates by 75 basis points later this month. <My stock portfolio over the last 2 years is massively down against my bitcoin using Thomas Fuller strategy. In my view Bitcoin has been one of the best holds during this uncertain market. My Bitcoin portfolio have been on a rise although the rates are capricious wiping out some of my profits i still have about 9.14' btc! worth of crypto assets. I can take a drop down to 20k and still be doing better than my stock portfolio. <I've stopped buying most stocks, I'm DCA'ing into Bitcoin, and I'm hoarding cash that will go entirely into Bitcoin if there's another good drop📈...
