Joshua Tree Mastodon Peak & Lost Palms Oasis Journey Meditation

Enjoy the stark desert beauty of Joshua Tree National Park around the Cottonwood Springs area! First, we begin with a sweeping panorama of the east side of Joshua Tree as seen from Mastodon Peak.

From there, we take a long journey past beautiful rock formations and a harsh desert to get to the Lost Palms Oasis. Although it was cloudy most of the day, the Oasis would have provided nearly all the shade on the trail. We got lucky and were able to walk amongst the clouds most of the day, though.

At the end of the video, we return to the Cottonwood Springs area for a quick view of the oasis that is accessible near the road. As we were heading back to camp, we also walked past a hare enjoying some sunset supper. Lots of hares were about on this trip to Joshua Tree.
