President Trump says Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon

President Donald Trump has told reporters that he wants Iran to flourish, but he does not want the country to have nuclear weapons.

Speaking outside Air Force One on Friday, 11 April, Mr Trump said, “I want Iran to be a wonderful, great, happy country, but they can’t have a nuclear weapon.”

US special envoy Steve Witkoff is heading to Muscat in Oman for indirect talks with Iran over its nuclear programme on Saturday.
The president has given Iran 60 days to agree to a deal.

The Trump administration and Israel are obsessed about Iran having nuclear weapons. First of all, Iran doesn't currently have any nuclear weapons (while Israel has many). Secondly, I can remember President Reagan fear-mongering about Iran's "nuclear program" all the way back in the early 1980s (Iran still doesn't have a nuclear weapon, 40+ years later). Third, Iran knows that if they don't have a nuclear weapon, they will go the way of Syria and Libya. Nations that have nuclear weapons, such as North Korea, are safe from the west destroying them. In other words, US and Israeli imperialism have incentivized every country getting nuclear weapons programs.
