I have a cheaper TV licence fee because I still have a black and white set, I am colour blind, so I have no need for a colour TV. When friends or family come round I just use the static electricity on the screen and cover it in quality street wrappers. It's not HDR 4k smartish type, but it's ample.

Long ago decades Australia had same system but removed tv licensing.

Only down side lots and lots of tv 📺 commercials. Maybe up to 8-10 commercials each break.

The federal government funded abc thankfully is free free including internet access channels and apps.

Downside cost over $1 billion per annum to taxpayers.

Haven't paid mine for 4 years. Haven't even switched on the tv in that time even for my PS/DVD's/BluRays etc.
Hardly use my mobile [only for bank access texts] and use my landline more [as the newer phones are spying on us].
Don't miss it/them at all. No evil pc adds/news propaganda etc. Feel a lot better for it.

Bbc iplayer logging your ip address is a scare tatic because they have no right to go to your isp to demand information if the police wont do iy i doubt some door to door salesmen can also many people use mobile data which is highly inaccurate anyway nice video bro hope it gets out there

I just stopped paying I watch all TV including iplayer. If they had a case they'd take me to court. On iplayer how do they know where I'm watching my ip address showd miles away from me. Just stop paying shut the door on them snd tell them to do one.
