CFMOTO 700MT Test 2025 - Can good touring motorcycles be cheap?

The affordable touring motorcycle in a new look! CFMOTO has redesigned the 700MT and now puts it on a 19-inch front wheel and the familiar MT platform. As a good-natured touring machine, it aims to convince price-sensitive buyers and send them on long tours. Is the package convincing? We found out in Portugal.

The fully loaded wet weight is 258Kg, which makes this adventure bike very heavy, especially with a relatively limited engine/power output. If CF Moto could have kept the dry weight below 215Kg, this would made it a very competitive bike.

I have the 2024 sport tourer version and it only has 218 kg wet, excellent breaks and handling. They went in a completely different direction in 2025

No throttle jerkiness at all, no problems with balance and wobbling, no problem with weak brakes and 240kg wet and equipped here in Greece. You must have reviewed a very early pre production model!
