you forgot about Orbea Rise and Lapierre E-zesty, those guy had the light weight thing figured out a few years ago. I absolutely love my Rise M20, and your right, I rarely use Turbo. I ride with a lot of non e-bikers so, Eco mode is all I use, and it's still awesome.

That’s my one downside of my turbo levo is the weight. I am an older rider and I cannot Bunnyhop that thing for the life of me. Never thought I would get rid of my E bike but if one comes around that’s affordable -reliable -and 40 pounds I may be convinced to trade it in. You are spot on with turbo- I never use it I stay in trail so I get a minimal work out but I can ride as long as I want for the day which is great when you’re over 50 and you only get a chance to ride once every other week. 😀

Great synopsis. I have been riding e-bikes for about 5 years now due to a heart condition. Most of the conventional bike riders should give your video a view as you make many good points regarding the presence of e-bikes on trails. Whenever someone makes the comment about me being a "cheater", I end up asking them "how does me riding an e-bike have any influence on your ride enjoyment? For me, yes, I am cheating. Cheating myself out of having a heart attack while riding :)

As a Florida guy, the big climbs in real mountains do suck. However, everything we have in Florida pedaling is required all the time. Emtbs are awesome down here because they make our flat trail systems very enjoyable by increasing average speed. all that being said, a lighter bike makes riding a lot more fun as you don’t have to work as hard when maneuvering.

Fully respect opinions. You have some valid points and insights. However full powered bikes are not going anywhere soon. There are markets for both. I love the fact in California that as a 63 yr old I can go on long rides with tons of elevation. Commonly ride 6-7 k foot. To each his own. They are all fun. Just get out and ride.
Price is still ridiculous. Full advanced tech motorcycles can be cheaper and much more goes into them.

You will need to pry my Turbo button out from under my cold dead thumb! Turbo FTW!!

I'm 79 yrs old (old guy and an ebike) and I regularly ride challenging trails like Stanley Gap in North Carolina. I never need Turbo on my Turbo Levo, even on the steepest, chunkiest climbs. I do love the bike and it has definitely opened up trails that I would have to push on my unassisted bike.
