CGI Animated Short Film HD 'Dead Friends ' by Changsik Lee | CGMeetup

Decades after a mysterious incurable zombie virus spreads throughout the world mankind is in danger of going extinct.
Among the infected there is an old zombie and a dog that remains loyal to his master and hopes he will become human again one day.

“Dead Friends” is my graduation film created for Sheridan College Animation in Oakville, Canada. Within the course of a year it has been screened at over 30 film festivals all over the world and now I have decided to share my film with you. I hope you enjoy. Special thanks to everyone who helped create this film.

I love the attitude of the dog. After gramps scratches him and you wake up through the dogs eyes, gramps looks at him like, you ready to do this shit with a strong enthusiastic demeanor. Its bright and sunny, out. Like its the norm for this world. The dog looks up like he's glad just to finally be the same as his old friend.

The thing is....if zombies were real, i think an alive loyal dog would actually try to accompany their zombified owner. and i'm not sure if that thought is sad or wholesome.

Uncomfortably wholesome
Zombie knew who Fido was, and actually regretted changing him

But felt better when he was changed as he now has a buddy who will live as long as he will

Watched this YEARS ago, horrified me as a kid, made me virtually afraid to scratch a dogs stomach. Still won't do it to this day, and I'm a full grown adult now.

The scratches on the dogs belly make me so uncomfortable...
