At last. An audiophile review who talks about metal. I’m also an audio engineer and your review was the most helpful by far. Those super famous youtubers don’t know what they are talking about when they talk about sound. And most of them say. I’m not an audiophile but it sounds greats. So how can someone judge 550$ 🎧 without actually knowing about sound and without covering all kinds of music. Thumbs up for your review

I am SO glad you mentioned more aggressive, and metal style music in this. Most reviewers use Hip Hop or Pop as a focus when it comes to reviewing headphones, which most 'Popular' headphones typically will sound great with those styles regardless with a slight change in profile. I'm a huge metal-head and I think more people should use it as a reference because it's great to measure instrument separation and low-end frequencies, just because there's sooo much going on. You can even tell that certain headphones are tuned for those specific styles, which makes it pretty difficult for me to pick a pair

You need to got into settings on iPhone and go to Accessibility > AirPods >Audio Accessibility Settings>Headphone Accommodations and enable that setting!
Then try the Balanced and Brightness settings as well as moderate and Strong boost setting. Make a world of difference!

The two things I love about these

1. Transparency mode is amazing
2. Mesh cups and easily replaced

But the price.... $899 in Australia. You can buy two pairs of XM4’s and have change left over... that’s what held me back. I just can’t do it... as much as I would like to. Great video man.
