7 TIPS TO MAKE FRIENDS IN COLLEGE (transfer, freshman advice)

How to make friends in college - USC edition! In this video I talk about how to make friends in college: some advice and tips I've thought of, combined with those of some of my friends. An article was published by USC stating there is a "loneliness epidemic." Being a transfer student, I can definitely relate to a lot of these hurtles, so i wanted to give my own perspective on the situation. I hope this helps! I thought it's cuz we still new in uni but literally after a week I saw everyone forming friend squads and I was the only one left out. It's so painful to look at their happy photos and videos together and ur like "when will I get my own squad or my own close friends".

Spent my first week in college. I feel so lonely and I miss my friends but this video gave me hope that it's okay to have no friends when you start something new.

When I do start college, I am gonna want to make lots of new friends and since I am a Muslim, there’s actually this program that I’m gonna be joining that’s the MSA (Muslim Student Association) program and when I am joined to that program, I will be making some friends from there. I just can’t wait until I do start college!

Another tip is to do things outside of college. I like edm and I’ve been to three concerts this year and the people there are friendly and although these types of relationships may be long distance, you find commonality easily in social environments like festivals/concerts.

I graduate in 2022 and I am scared of making new friends I’m not good at it I’m really scared of trying to make friends at college hopefully I can go to college with one of my friends so I have a familiar friend to help make new ones
