My first advanced procedure! What are they? What is the difference?
Why do them?

Keep on watching! I do explain more below. Give a like & subscribe if you want to see more content like this and TIA!

PRP means Platelet Rich Plasma and PRF means Platelet Rich Fibrin.

WHAT ARE THE TREATMENTS?
Both of these treatments will take the epidermal growth factor out of our own plasma and re-inject it back into the skin to help increase the skins thickness, increase skin's luminosity and help minimize the signs of aging by increasing the production of fibroblasts. Fibroblasts are responsible for Type I collagen production in our tissue.

So the main reason why I decided to pursue these types of treatments was  they can help increase your body's ability to produce collagen.  I have a lot of fine lines under my eyes I which is why I thought I would start there. The investment was $200.

Although there are some similarities between PRP & PRF it is the differences between these two products that makes the PRF stand out as a superior treatment option.

Essentially both procedures require blood to be drawn and placed in a centrifuge when the blood is then processed to help separate the blood into distinct layers.

PRP
PRP is spun at a higher speed which allows for the lighter platelets & plasma to collect in the top part of the test tube.  The platelets and plasma are then collected from the upper part of the test tube & injected back into the face.

PRF
The PRF is spun at a lower speed so that the layers of the blood are not as distinct which allows some white blood cells and stem cells to remain in the platelet layer that is collected for treatment.  There are more healing factors within the PRF than is typically seen in the PRP. The lower spin speed causes less trauma to the individual cells of the blood allowing more stem cells to remain in the final product.

ANOTHER DIFFERENCE
The concentration of platelets also varies. The ideal platelet concentration within a PRP sample should be 2-5 times the level of platelets typically found in the body.  However newer research states that the concentration sample taken using PRF is 10 times the concentration amount found in the body.

FINAL
Lastly when taking a PRF sample no anticoagulent is used during the processing of the blood. With PRP the blood collected is placed in tubes that have use a anticoagulent which keeps product from clotting too quickly. This helps to keep the PRP as natural as possible.

RESULTS
Results can take up to six weeks and l continue to improve over the next 3-6 months. These results can last about 6 mo's to a year.

FREQUENCY
It's recommend 2-4 times to really continue to see those results.

WOULD I DO IT AGAIN?
Yes I plan on doing this agin. Yes there was bruising but that is easy to cover and temporary. I've seen a large enough improvement in the skin under my eyes that i feel it's worth continuing.

Put in the comments your thoughts! If you have had this procedure or a similar one I would like to hear how it turned out for you.

I’m almost 3 weeks in from my first treatment and in 5 weeks going to have my second treatment - I love the science behind this. Slow and steady wins the race with prf ☺️

I absolutely love PRF.. I have seen incredible differences in my skin, my under eyes, just my total face is all over better. I do this treatment myself ( I have mother has been a nurse her entire adult life so she has been so beneficial to me with explaining and showing me the way to draw my blood for the PRF. The time I have to spin the blood and how to keep everything extremely sanitary.
I have always loved the effects I received when doing micro needling so when I added PRF and saw Improvements with using a natural product that my body produced I knew this was right choice comparing filler and other skin boosters with PRF.

I just had PRF done yesterday and I have no bruising because the technician used a cannula to inject the prf which is zero bruising or if there is, its at very minimum. I'm happy with the immediate result.

I was PRF patient n°1 at my doctors office, unfortunatelly I didn't know that! The result were mountains and valleys below my eyes. Finally after 2-3 months they dissapeared BUT I had no positive effect in any point of time. Here in Germany PRF isn't known that well yet. So I tried PRP. After the first PRP treatment I didn't see any improvement, it's known that you have to do it more often. I give it a try at least once again.

I feel like results vary depending on the quality of your red blood cells and platelets. Quality will depend on your food intake and lifestyle choices. There’s probably some genetics involved too.

Hi new subscriber. Thanks for sharing, I loved this! I had PRP done twice about 6-7 years ago. Had a lot of bruising but I was happy with results for about a year or so. The T also did RF device after the treatment. I have hollows under my eyes and I don't really think it helped that much but overall I liked it. Bruising is a killer though!! I found a new Therapist who uses both PRP and PRF and she said in her opinion (she is a nurse too) that some people like one or the other. Personally she prefers the PRF but it doesn't work as well on a few people. They go back to PRP. So I'm on the fence as to which one I will get. She has a machine that does BOTH. I'm not sure if that's the way it's meant to be done or not. She said PRF is a smaller vial so I might just get my eyes done with it. Did it help with fine lines (crow's feet) for you? Just dreading the bruises but lots of tips down below in comments. Thank you 🙂

Thanks for sharing your journey!
Does PRF help with hollows at all, or do you think filler is the only thing? I’ve done PRP and it definitely helps to rejuvenate/heal the skin, but does nothing for hollows.

Thank you for this video!
Does PRF helps stimulate and rejuvenate the facial fat?

I like the idea but many people have said it doesn’t last that long the downside is there is no way I can have those bruises for that long I am on my own and I can’t go to the shops or do anything in public! I can’t always wear sunglasses especially inside no amount of good make up will cover those bruises…. being out of action, for that long is not good for me

I'm not sure about this, it's something I've never had done, but seriously I had a mini face lift in the office by a verynskillwd surgeon and it was nothing. He did a fabulous job, no pain, scarring around the ear, couldn't even see. So I believe that sometimes a surgeon is the best corrector for many of these issues if you want to look the best you can. I had that done younger than most, but again I can't deny the fabulous results I received. I've also had an anterior brow lift, mind you, none of my surgeries have made me look deformed or look like I've had work done. I get told by many people how beautiful I am and truly appreciate their compliments. I continue upkeep with dermal fillers which I love and ultrasound therapy. I'm just trying to figure out what this actually does? It seems microneedling could substitute this?
