One thing I love about this is that even from here, it shows his age. In Ip Man 1, he could easily beat 10 black belts but now he's older and not exactly in his prime anymore. Still amazing of course but when you consider that Ip Man 1 takes place around the late 30s- early 40s and this takes place around the late 50s, it's been almost 2 decades.

It pretty much sets up his age and health coming back as a major factor in Ip Man 4

Cheung Tin Chi's Wing Chun tends to have a mixture of Wushu while Ip Man's is a little bit of a mixture of Karate & Boxing. That's because the two of them are actually not 100% Wing Chun practitioners. Both Donnie Yen & Max Zhang are MMA practitioners

here, Ip Man looks overwhelmed by the gangsters who are still teenagers but in Ip Man 1, he was able to beat 10 Jarate Karate masters and even a black belt & beat General Miura. Don't forget, he was able to defeat a lot of gangsters at the start of Ip Man 2 and beat Twister.

What I love about this scene is that Ip Man kicks everyone's ass but gets slapped by his own wife at home (after this scene) but couldn't do anything in response haha
