9 Patches can be so much fun! Join Natalia Bonner in this fun online stitch-along, the 9 Patchalong 2.0.

In this second edition of Natalia's hit 9 Patchalong stitch-along, Natalia will teach you how-to think beyond the blocks. We'll stitch 9 new designs on 9 patch quilt blocks. There will be a bit of modern quilting, a bit of more traditional quilting and quite a bit of marking. Natalia will also include 9 bonus designs and 1 fun geometric background filler.

It's easy to look at a quilt and be overwhelmed. In this free stitch-along we're going to break those 9 patches down, mark them one block at a time and then quilt them one block at time.

When
September 9-18, 2021. Lessons and workbooks are now available. Work at your own pace and share your progress in our online community. (You will have access to video lessons forever after class begins.)

What You Will Need
Bundle your supplies and save!

Something to quilt on. Natalia will be quilting all of her designs on a custom 9 Patchalong panel; you can purchase a panel from Honest Fabric. Natalia will be stitching on the 51"x60" size. If you prefer to piece your own top, we've got a 9 Patchalong Piecing workbook available for purchase here.

Batting
Natalia will be using 1 layer of Quilters Dream Poly Deluxe Batting.

Rulers
Natalia will use four of her machine quilting rulers: 4N1, Mini 4N1, Inside Out & Mini Inside Out.

Thread
Natalia will use So Fine #401 on the top and Bottom Line #624 of the bobbin.

Fabric
If working with the custom panel you will only need backing and binding material. Red - 3/8 yard Turquoise - 3/8 yard Soft Green - 1/4 yard Gold - 1/4 yard Yellow - 3/8 yard White 1 7/8 yards Backing - 3 yards Binding - 1/2 yard

Workbooks
9 Patchalong 2.0 Design Workbook contains 9, 9 patch designs and 9 bonus block designs, plus blank blocks for you to sketch your own block designs. 9 Patchalong Piecing Workbook contains full color piecing instructions to make the coordinating quilt top. Quilter's Sketchbook is the perfect companion for doodling your quilting designs.

Measuring
A foldable tape measure.

Marking
Natalia will be doing some marking using the Blue Mark-B-Gone Marker. Natalia will mist away her markings using the Misting Spray Bottle.

Skill Level
Students should have a basic knowledge of free-motion quilting and machine quilting with rulers. Anyone on any machine with the ability to machine quilt with rulers and free-motion quilt can join Natalia's classes. Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting book or online class recommended as a pre-requisite to this class (but not required). Visual Guide to Creative Straight Line Quilting is also recommended as a pre-requisite to this stitch-along.
