William Shakespeare 's birthday Celebration Part-3 by Department of English Literature - JNU

The Department of English celebrated the world renowned British dramatist , William Shakespeare 's birthday on 22 April,2017. On this occasion, the students of B.A. Hons. and M.A English presented slide show on the life and works of the playwright. Students also enacted some important scenes from his famous play The Merchant of Venice. Prof. J.N. Sharma ( former HOD & Dean , JNV University , Jodhpur) and Prof. Dinesh Dadich ( former HOD , English , Kurukshetra University)were the Guests of Honour on this occasion. They also spoke on the dramatic genius of Shakespeare and recited some translated lines of Shakespeare's drama. The celebration ended with the cutting of the cake and wishing Shakespeare “Happy Birthday".
