GW2 Weyandt's Revenge Lion's Arch jumping puzzle

This is a jumping puzzle in he SE corner of Lion's Arch that give you access to the pirate weapons karma vendor at the end.

In the dark room, you can also use anything on your skill bar that uses a target, to light the area to make the jump, press esc to make the jump then use it again for the next, and so on...

I've already finished it and thought it was a 1 time thing, but after running another friend through, much to my surprise, it allowed me to get the chest again. Any idea how often it allows you to do this?
