Work Readiness Program for Graduates - #JBMarksExit19

JB Marks Education Trust Fund has a capacity building program for its final year beneficiaries where they prepare the students for the world of work.
Beneficiaries are taught self improvement skills to enhance their social and professional skills. They are taught how prepare and dress up for interviews, where to look for opportunities, how to conduct themselves during the interviews and how to structure their CV's.
Beneficiaries are also encouraged to explore entrepreneurship instead of just looking for employment. At this workshop, the beneficiaries met with various HR Practitioners from different industries and went through mock interviews with them.
The Speakers who came include the following:
1. Tebogo Nokwane BSc (TRP) (Wits University), Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Wits University)
Tebogo Nokwane is the Chairman and Founder of TN Foundation and Managing Director of Peu ya Africa Consulting Engineers & Project Managers.
2. Loyiso Mangena
Loyiso Mangena is the former Chief Operations Officer of Pamodzi Group, a mulit-billion rand diversified portfolio of listed and unlisted investments.
3. Tex Hlalela
Tex Hlalela is the Managing Director of Dreams Made Possible, a business coaching professional and has worked in the manufacturing, FMCG and petrochemical industries. He is an astute HR Resource Practitioner with 20 years experience in the fields of leadership, organisational development and talent management.
4. Khumbulani Mpofu - Director at African Bank
5. Karabelo - Chairman of Gibbens Attorney
HR Practitioners who participated in the "mock interviews" included representatives from Sanlam, PNET, Vodacom, MSX Resources, Erg Africa, Boardroom Appointments, 360 HR, Honeywell, Goldfemexec and Bahumi
