There's a difference between 'liking' something and criticizing something. For all I know, it could be a very funny movie, you are correct. HOWEVER, this IS playing on bland stereotypes of women and men. I haven't seen this movie, I don't know how well it will do/be but the fact remains, it's based on the thin premise that women only care about having a man and men only care about being dominate of that woman. And from what it's looking like in the /preview/ it looks /degrading/.

The support of POC's increases their integration into the Hollywood system. As of this moment, look at the major grossing movies, you'll notice a trend. If it's not Will Smith or Eddie Murphey, /everyone is white/. We had some leeway with the new Karate Kid, but since then, when have you seen a POC starring as a main character in a successful, popular motion picture?

I don't do that and I agree with you (For example, I love Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, but I'm not going to go see The Hobbit /just/ because they're in it. Works both ways). However, may I end by adding that while it isn't a /white/ viewers problem, it is, in fact, a problem for POC viewers. Imagine looking at film, which is meant to be a reflection of life in some way, shape, or form, and never seeing someon who looks more like you.

it's a damn movie, made for entertainment....so any negative comments I'll be forced to assumed that you can't get through to your man or he screw you over. it's looking like a great movie stop trying to veer of and be a debbie downer....this is the type of movies people watch now a days & if you feel so threatened by it, stay home and watch lifetime.
