They know damn well Joe is not travelling to Kamala for a single hour of conversation. This is their way of avoiding the JRE without having to outright refuse which would make Kamala look bad. Any candidate who is confident in what they could offer in a long form conversation would jump at the insane opportunity that is the JRE, putting any conditions on that just shows that they know Kamala would mess it up big time.

Edit for some of the replies:

1. Kamala needs this, not Joe, he is offering an opportunity that you make time for if you know what's good for you. Only reason to not do it because you are afraid that you couldn't make the best out of this potentially game changing platform. This is the kind of thing that you are never to busy for. She is in no position to make demands, it was an offer from Joe not a request.

2. Saying Trump doesn't do interviews after he's been on on multiple podcasts that go over hours is hilariously ignorant.

3. Not everyone who watches JRE agrees with Joe and his guests on everything. Believe it or not there are actually people out there who are comfortable engaging with content that they don't agree with and making up their own mind.

4. The fact that many JRE viewers are not typical Kamala Voters is one of the main reasons this is a huge opportunity for her, how is this not obvious? You're not winning the election by convincing people to vote for you that are already going to.

5. If the benefits of appearing on one of the biggest platforms in the world is not appearant to you idk what to say. As I basically said already, anyone confident in their own ability to make use of such a platform would make time in their busy schedule without asking twice.

Bonus: Yes this also makes her look bad but not to the people she already has on her side. As you can see in this reply section, critical thinking is not their strength.

Edit 2: I'm not gonna hide that mistake by editing it away but I want to apologize for the part about not being critical thinkers if you support Kamala. For alot of them it's true but this is obviously a problem that both sides suffer from equally.
