Sparta is a boss that can appear on Wave 9 on standard modes, or Wave 2 and 3 in the Epilogue. He is a hunter-type Boss that chases down players indefinitely, forcing them to engage him in combat. Though his health is low for a boss, he can compensate by healing whenever he kills a Dummy with his twin blades. Sparta appears as a blazing fast enemy wielding two swords. He has multiple shields on his back and has tattoos on his arms & one under his left eye.


Behaviour
Sparta chases players down with a Jetpack until he’s close enough for a melee attack. His attacks are telegraphed by wide red lines that he'll slash through, instantly killing any players hit by it. The targeting of the slashes can be predictive based on the movement of the target. Whenever Sparta kills a player, he will recover 15% of their maximum HP. The higher the difficulty, the less time there is between slashes.

When his health reaches 50%, he will gain the ability to perform a stomp that knocks players away. The stomp also creates a shockwave that players must jump over or they will be ragdolled (Only above 100% difficulty). He will also additionally be able to perform triple slash combos. Any player directly hit by his stomp will be instantly killed and become mangled.

Strategy
Due to the naturally fast-paced nature of this boss, it is recommended to always be on the move and take him out as fast as possible as he is a very good distraction to let other enemies to advance. Utilize cover to get some hits in before he is able to attack you, but be aware that he can use his Jetpack to reach you even at long ranges.

If you have a Jetpack, use it to get away when he does an attack and swap between guns to take him down slowly but surely. The Machete works well against Sparta if you are able to hit with your throws, and the increased movement speed makes it easier to dodge his attacks.

You can also avoid any attacks while slowly chipping away his health by spam clicking Aerorig near him.

Hallucinator Kits and MADS Kits should not be used against him as he can heal from destroying them.

If you have any PDC turrets, or any of it's upgrades, you should pack them up or place them elsewhere as he can heal from slashing them. If you need your PDCs to fight Sparta, keep your distance away from them in an open area and let them gun down Sparta as you're distracting him.

An easy way to defeat Sparta is by flying up with a Jetpack/Terminal Velocity then hold the Shift key to hover down while switching guns to attack him, as Sparta AI can't find a way to hit you while you're in the air.

Sometimes Sparta’s Pathfinding stops working on Slopes or even out of the blue sometimes, allowing players to easily kill Him.
