Just a thought -

The amount of money any nation spends on military and related fields could have brought humanity to a higher level of well-being if it was spent on areas like education, space exploration, health, poverty etc. But the sole reason why that can't be the case is because we humans are more interested in bringing other's downfall, conquering other's lands, aspiring to exploit other nation's resources. This is why militaries exist, to protect a nation. In a world we live right now, militaries need to exist and be strong. If we all lived harmoniously and weren't greedy, militaries wouldn't have to exist. That would mean not spending huge amount of money on it. That in turn would mean spending that money on improving public standard of living.

What if the entire military budget went to:
1. Instead of spending it on defense and military aid in the terms of fighting, spending it on programs that help shelter refugees in war regions, and programs that educate people, and also teach people how to farm, start a business etc. in less developed countries, in an effort to prevent war?
2. What if the entire military budget went to research in health, so we could avoid people getting terribly ill and unable to work? (There are many).
3. What if the entire military budget went to researching more planet friendly ways of creating and distributing energy?
4. What if the entire military budget was spent on efforts to stop cruelty, such as slavery and unhealthy working conditions and a too low income for workers in underdeveloped countries? And in addition, to stop discrimination against minorities all over the world?

What I mean to say is, NASA is nice, sure, but shouldn't we prioritize taking care of the planet we already own, so we don't have to colonize other solar systems?

If NASA had the budget of the military, we'd already have tons of rovers on the Gallilean moons, especially Titan, Europa, and Enceladus. NASA would have scaled back missions on Mars and instead focused on the moons of Jupiter and Saturn after figuring out that Mars is a joke, relatively speaking, and instead the moons, filled with liquids, have a much greater potential to harbor life.

If NASA's budget could be half of military's, only safety measures would be added? That's the answer I wanted really, any answer from NASA about what they would do with more money is what I want to hear, but don't call me a fan. Its just because I trust NASA this much. Anything they would do better would equal to anything better somewhere, somehow. If that wouldn't faster things up, but would give the ISS better toilets only, welp that's great! Just give em the money and let the magic happen.

I love NASA and all, but SpaceX has done a ton of better work in recent years than NASA. If SpaceX has NASA's current budget or the military's budget, we would have already seen creations beyond our wildest dreams.
