To access status bar on my S8 you must go to notifications not display. I have no idea why it's different

Thank you very much for that! It seems so easy but your channel is aptly named - I am 52 and a total technophobe - I have no interest in all the features on a phone and am largely ignorant of them therefore: but that does mean when a random sequence of buttons has accidentally been pressed - like when I pick the phone up, or try to clean the screen or when I fall asleep on it(!) - frequently as a result, unintended actions occur which leave me absolutely baffled. The other day, I had no internet and spent 25 mins calling EE thinking to ask them if it was a problem their side but no, I just hadn't got the slider in the right place to "Use phone's Internet Hotspot". When I told the advisor it was "greyed out" and couldn't be changed, he suggested switching the phone off and on again which, to my amazement, worked, but it was the thick end of half an hour to arrive at that conclusion. In future, I will access a clip from yourself instead!

Yeah...I guess this is old, but this is not how it works on all Galaxy S8 models today. You go to "Notifications" then "Status Bar." At least on mine it is not under "Display." Thanks for the effort though, stuff changes all the time.
