So I know when flashing a custom rom it's more than likely you'd need to flash an Open Gapps package for Basic play services and the Play Store. I just want to know if we have packages that work the same way for the TV operating system. So I can sideload or flash with the Android TV Play store. Would be amazing, but I'll look into it as I've only just considered buying a mini PC and turning it into an Android TV box

Very good tutorial! I'm thinking about making my own Android TV device on a Raspberry Pi, which have ARM processors so the x86 edition of Android wouldn't work, but that's okay. What's interesting about the image you used is that it's very bare bones. It doesn't even come with Google Play Services to install official Android TV apps. You could always sideload Google Play Services, though. Again, great tutorial!

I installed to a flash drive (from one flash drive to another). Android TV boots up just fine, but Cyanogen File Manager just wont work. It will go to a white screen and just sit. Even after setting permissions it will just sit. If it try doing anything I will get a prompt saying its busy and allowing me to quit or wait. Any ideas? I can install to HDD instead of a flash drive, but I dont see why it should act any different.

You literally only installed google and/or youtube. Which can be used on primary hard disc without any fuss. No mention of any streaming apps or wifi settings. So why install android tv?

So I am trying to put Android on a separate Hard Drive for my laptop I have deleted everything off of it but upon installing the Android OS says not enough storage, the HD is 350GB. Any help would be great. TIA
