On the Wrist, from off the Cuff: San Martin – SN045-G, Perfect for Smaller Wrists and more Original

On this episode we take a look at a refreshingly more original model from San Martin. This particular model has all of the San Martin features many enjoy but wrapped in a non-homage aesthetic. I own it and I am quite happy with it. Retro styling with a nod to Seiko 70's watches. With a Seiko movement. The bracelet is great for my taste. The bezel action made a rolex fan surprised on how good it is. I had to take the watch back after 5 minutes of playing with the bezel. I also got the rubber bracelet for a more functional look. These guys are excellent precision metal engineers. If this watch would say swiss made it would be a 1000 bucks minimum.

It looks pretty neat, definitely a step in the right direction. They're not a factory brand, they have an office/assembly space and order the parts from many different factories. Original designs are harder for them to sell, but apparently they'd like to focus a bit more on that. But I wouldn't expect them to stop making homage watches, that's how they make their money. At least that's what I gathered from what the owner posted on watchuseek.

I would like the PT5000 movement in this. High beat movement is exactly the kind of value I am looing for at this price point.

Looks nice. The 6 marker (and 9) seems too big or long compared to the 12 to my eye. The bracelet style is cool - think it would grab hairs?

Great review! Have you tried any straight end link aftermarket bracelets to see if they fit? Several reviewers have mentioned how tight the clearance is around the spring bars.

Looks nice but it is a rip off of Seiko. Mix between mini turtle and samurai
