I totally thought it was a april fools joke when I saw the pics for the Patek Cubitis. Is absolutely horrible IMO. Probably sell very few, get discontinued and then be super rare and then everyone will want one?!

I distinctly remember Thierry Stern saying he didn't want Patek to be a one watch brand, i.e., Nautilus, so he came up with this Cubitus with most of the Nautilus DNA. WTF?

The Patek Philippe Incubus was designed by Mr Thierry Stern himself. He said that they were four who designed this watch together at Patek Philippe and that the Patek specialist employees reassured him that this would be a success. Krazy way of selling this watch.

I thought this watch was hideous until I learned that it is 45mm square(!!!). This monstrosity will take up 22% more wrist area than IWC's large Big Pilot! Who's their prospective client, Big Foot?

I honestly like the look of the Patek a lot, just not for Patek and certainly not for that price. I personally love the style though

Thierry Stern showed he has no class and I have to say that was something I expected even less than the Cubitus. Definitely not feeling the brand after that interview.

The 5821 is going to be hit.
I think it's going to be a bit too big, but all that means is a smaller iteration if more are made.
The problem I see is one of purpose not design.
I think what patek need is a watch that is essentially an equalvalient to the breguet type 20 i.e. a cheaper offering for a differnt type of customer, but still worthy of the breguet name.
The cubitist is just another expensive patek so it's not clear what patek wanted to achieve.
