Iran has condemned the sanctions imposed by the US on its oil sector. Iran called the sanctions “illegal and unjustified”. On October 11, the US announced fresh sanctions on companies and vessels selling Iranian oil. The sanctions are in response to Iran’s October 1 missile attack on Israel, which it launched in retaliation for the Hezbollah chief’s killing.
