Will this actually give the user 2 choices for printing: either from WiFi or from USB cable connection ? If that is the case, then ALL printers should allow such an easy installation process. In the 21st century, it is not normal that we have to go through hoops and loops to install a printing device on a home network. There are too many differences from one tutorial to another. The cloud storage business will end up eating up the world of printers if you don't make it easier on people to install the printing devices. It can be simply brutal at times and also counter productive. That being said, this tutorial is well made, time now to test if this temporary USB cable connection tip you propose here will work on any HP printer model. Or just work on mine. Or on some model nobody is using anymore.

I just watched this tutorial again to get a better understanding on USB cable connection. From my interpretation of this video, are you saying I don't have to leave the USB cable permanently plugged in to my laptop for it to print, copy, and scan in wireless mode even after installing the software; plus the fact my laptop is not Bluetooth enabled. Is that correct?

Ok, so I just installed using the usb cable, downloaded drivers, cause that's what it told me to do and got the congratulations page and then I tried to print and it tells me ?it doesn't seem to be a printer installed" ANY MORE SUGGESTIONS?

It does not find Internet connection when I choose USB ;( and it prints test page with no problem... model 3700 was working ok, and now my new one 3762 wireless one, won't connect with usb :((

My printer is properly set up according to our book instructions. Why did just stop working? It just stopped printing. As I said, I have subscribed months ago. Don't understand why it won't print.
