This was one of the toughest series transitions for Naruto. He's just beaten Pain, he's viewed as the Hero of the Hidden Leaf who's going to bring peace... only to learn that Sasuke has turned into a criminal... and that one day he'll have to fight him.

This has to be one of my favorite openings of Naruto Shippuden. Ugh, I don't know but whenever I listen to this song, my heart aches. I remember when they were still kids in Naruto then they turned into teens in Naruto Shippuden and they finally have their own families in Boruto. Do you know how sad and nostalgic I'm feeling right now?

this and toumei datta sekai are like the one-two punch in the feels, first the collision of different yet similar forms of pain between naruto and nagato, then naruto having to deal with basically the entire world making an enemy of his closest, most trusted friend. great songs with beautiful lyrics in their own right, them so wonderfully illustrating the part of the storyline they are tied in with only makes them even greater!
