Is this forgotten cocktail from 1941 any good?

Показать описание
The Pan American appears in the 1941 Rum Connoisseur by Ronrico. The drink calls for *Pa-Pi-A* syrup which is what you'd find Papaya called back in the 1930s and 1940s. Ronrico was a popular rum company that created many consumer pamphlets and bartender guides in the 1940s - 1960s with the famous *Chico Presents Ronrico Mixtro's Guides.* The Mitro's Guides were meant for the trade while the "A to Z Drinkin" and "Rum Connoisseur" were widely available/ You could get yourself a guide with the purchase of Ronrico rums or write in and they'd send you one. While the Ronrico distillery was based in Puerto Rico, the guides came from Miami.
