Avoid the “K Hole” #medication

Avoid the “K Hole” #medication. The "K hole" refers to a dissociative state induced by the recreational use of ketamine, a powerful anesthetic and hallucinogenic drug. When someone enters the K hole, they experience profound dissociation from their surroundings, themselves, and reality. The term "K hole" derives from the sensation of falling into a metaphorical hole or void, where perception of time, space, and self is distorted or completely absent. During a K hole experience, individuals may feel disconnected from their body, as if floating or disembodied. Sensory perceptions become distorted, with alterations in vision, hearing, and tactile sensations. Time may seem to slow down or become meaningless, and individuals may lose track of their surroundings or forget their identity. While some users seek out the K hole experience for its perceived spiritual or introspective qualities, it is generally considered an undesirable and potentially dangerous state. There are several reasons why one would want to avoid the K hole: Loss of control: The intense dissociative effects of the K hole can lead to a loss of control over one's thoughts, emotions, and actions. Individuals may become disoriented, confused, or agitated, making it difficult to navigate their environment safely. Physical risks: Ketamine can cause significant physical effects, including respiratory depression, increased heart rate, and elevated blood pressure. In the K hole state, individuals may be more susceptible to accidents, falls, or injuries due to impaired coordination and motor function. Psychological risks: The dissociative nature of the K hole can induce feelings of fear, paranoia, or anxiety, especially in individuals prone to experiencing psychological distress or panic attacks. Some users may also report experiencing hallucinations or delusions, which can be frightening or disturbing. Memory impairment: Ketamine has been shown to impair memory formation and recall, particularly during the K hole experience. Users may have difficulty remembering events or actions that occurred while in the dissociative state, leading to gaps in memory or confusion about what transpired. #drugs #medicine

I had a mix of ketamine and fentanyl after open heart surgery in 2021. It did work but I remember one nurse in the ICU seemed like he was 8ft tall and I got quite dissociated. However, on the evening of my second day post op I experienced ICU psychosis which went away when I was taken off the mix and moved onto Oxycontin and paracetamol. I wouldn't want to take it without medical supervision.

I was given low dose ketamine infusions to help treat my PTSD. It was quite an experience and brought my symptoms down by half. Just amazing.

Ketamine is VITAL for folks with the rare neurological disorder RSD/CRPS. CRPS is an excruciatingly painful disorder and can be in a single limb all the way up to the entire body with organ involvement. Surgery and other major procedures can permanently spread/worsen the disease, destroying lives. (Doctors call it the suicide disease for a damn good reason!) Giving ketamine during surgery can prevent this.

I have full body CRPS and had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago. This was the first time I was listened to and given the right drugs and as a result, this is the easiest surgery I’ve had in 15 years. All thanks to ketamine.

My mom was given Ketamine when she was delivering my brother through C-section. They cut based on the scar size from my delivery, but his head was bigger than mine was so my mom was in pain. They dosed her with Ketamine to dull the pain. The story she tells is that her sensation was that of a brown burlap covered room. She says that the first thing she told my dad when she awoke was, "Put me back in the brown room. It doesn't hurt there."

When I was 3 I fractured my skull and would not stay still in the CT machine. It got bad enough to where I had to be sedated under Ketamine. I've also used it as a depression treatment with one of those guided at home programs. They came in 50mg tinctures and I would take half of one before bed. It really did help along with some better self care and positive self talk while on it

I'm a Veterinary Nurse. We used it more in cats vs dogs. I've seen them coming out of the sedative effects; and, they're NOT having any sort of fun. 😒
That's a big "no" for me!

I don't enjoy it as a "high" at all, but I think it needs to be more common in more countries, for example as a patient with extremely treatment resistent depression, it's basically my last option other than ECT or the deep stimulation whatever thingy. Here in Sweden it's practically impossible to get it done, only way is to participate in a study, there are 0 clinics yet... Real fun especially with our dysfunctional psych system.

I had it once for medical purposes. I am not at all surprised, it's a very popular drug 😎

If you're considering how irratic Elon Musk has been acting I highly doubt he's microdosing anything

I had a procedure done, came up from it going into a PTSD flashback of something that happened years ago, but I had similar reactions to other anesthesia prior

So, I’m on here because I had a strong Ketamine reaction in an ER and can’t get it out of my head. I can’t stop thinking about it. Let me start you with this. From the beginning with paramedics gave me fentanyl and in the ER they gave several different things. I remember several doses of morphine. Nothing was affecting the pain. Then they tried two more things. Injected me and walked out. An ER admin started going through my insurance and records and I felt my life “fizzling” out of existence. I told the admin something is wrong and to get a nurse. Then everything went white, not dark, white. I assume I had a reaction or OD and thought I was dying. I remember thinking, “at least my death won’t be painful”. After that, it is impossible to describe in words. Like I was being disconnected from my body and the 5 senses that we know, no longer existed and new senses that I didn’t understand were what my mind was capturing. I felt like I was no longer in our plane of existence. Time had no meaning. And when I was fading back into reality, it was like how many people with near death experiences described “going to heaven”. It was like I had a “silky white cloth” covering my face and I started hearing voices from within the ER, but my brain couldn’t track them properly. At this point, it was like the movies and I could increase my ability to track. I could her my wife and Doctor in the background. Tracking began to further improve and then my sight returned and was back to normal(ish). It was like nothing else I have experienced in life. It felt like forever and never, but according to my wife, the episode only lasted five minutes or so.

I've had surgeries and even removed wisdom teeth but I've only gotten lidocaine or rarely a full anesthesia

So far in my life i havent gotten into much addictive stuff that are super harmful to the body except my unforgiving scratching issue
Not sure if i should take it in or not since it is related to my atopic skin and with an autistic background i have had issues eith sensiticity and stress has also caused my to "automatically" scratch myself

But so far i want to say... Im proud of everyone who hasnt gone trough or has gone but gotten to stop from negative effect addictions

Smoking, Vaping seem to be the most usual nowadays though from where i come (finland) and its abnormal amount of alcohol usage... i can see why alot of finnish people tend to also be heavy smokers or substance addicts for drugs/other similar things to get "high"

Though it may be due to me being kinda awkward... and well not really lonely but being alone quite alot and hanging out with other similarly said people troughout my life

I was drinking at a bar with people I haven't drank with before but met before, so I thought it was fine. Anyway we went to another bar together. Not sure who it was or if I agreed to take it and don't remember. Anyways, I passed out and fell over. It felt like I was traveling through time with deities who told me life was a simulation. It was scary as fuck. Ended up in my bed with my car at the bar with my keys, cell phone, wallet, and t-shirt with vomit all over it.

I'm immune to propathol so they gotta use K on me. I remember being paralyzed but still conscious while they prepped me for surgery and what looked like a room full of aliens with huge eyes and small mouths looked down on me with the bright light (obviously they were doctors because it was a training hospital and they were showing them how to do the surgery) but it was literally like some alien abduction shit, and it made me wonder how many stories of alien abductions were really just ketamine induced "hallucinations" for lack of a better word.
