I fixed my iPhone X Camera Lens with $10 of parts. Don't do it.

My iPhone X Camera lens was cracked in the back, it was really ugly looking at it there, and was expensive to replace, even with applecare. I show you what worked for me as how to replace my iphone X camera lens.

I just fixed my camera glass and honestly it was super easy. I didn’t even use a heat gun nor the heat function on my hair dryer. I used a screw driver with a tiny head and a tack hammer to crack the glass into small pieces. Then I used tweezers to remove the glass. I used a Stanley knife to take off the adhesive and the cold function of the hair dryer to blow off any debris off the lens. It only took me an hour and that’s because I was super careful

Followed your video step by step and worked - pretty straight forward. Only thing is I did use the sticky adhesive outline they sent. It was very difficult to peel the paper off one side but worked once i got it. Thanks! Saved me big time!

I’m sorry. I did it. The good thing is that I didn’t destroy anything and it looks fine. The glass is really hard so i took a small rock and hammer to crack the glass. Thanks for the tutorial!

Basically, we pay more hat 1000k to carry a piece of glass waiting to be broken sooner or later and we all have to try to figure how to repair it at a great cost, then once repaired, you loose features the phone offered you such as the IP water-resistant, what a pain! I demand the phone companies to start giving us a better manufacture phone!!!

lmaooo i attempted the same on my 7plus. spent way too *little* time trying to fix the lense and ended up bending some super precise metal grooves that hold the glass in place in the process. didnt have glue so the covering fell off within a day haha. i learned to live with it.

I dont think the glass is the lens. I think it is just to protect the camera. The lens is on the camera unit behind the glass.
