Am I the only one who found it funny on how Helena Bonham Carter starred in 3 films of those nominated in this catergory? She appears in Alice in Wonderland as the Red Queen. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 she's Bellatrix Lestrange and in The King's Speech, she plays Queen Elizabeth. So whichever movie got the award, either way she would've been so happy.

Tim Burton is so UNDERRATED. Everywhere, top 10, those director x director interviews, round tables, Oscars, the man's Vision is out of this world but nobody mentions him in film history.

This comes as a surprise, since Robert Stromberg had won the previous year in this category for co-designing Avatar!

Am I the only one in a good way who was surprised that Alice in Wonderland took home two Oscars that night? I wanted Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 to win this category too. Other than that, Alice in Wonderland was just as good as the classic 1951 animated original adapted by Walt Disney himself. Who's excited for Alice Through the Looking Glass on Memorial Day Weekend?

I really hate how Stuart Craig is snubbed each year.

Never Let Me Go and Shutter Island should have been nominated instead of The King's Speech and True Grit

a lot of money & two Oscars, just admit that your the only one who hated it & don't make it sound like your opinion speaks for all people, if it was so bad like you say it wouldnt have made that much money..NUFF SAID!!!!

Inception was ROBBED, has awarded the BAFTA, Critics Choice and ADG and losing the Oscars, it's one of the most conflicting winners of the year

Inception or True Grit should have won.
