Wow my friends and I were into air rifles back in the mid 80’s, when Beeman and FWB were the leaders in cocking spring piston air rifles. Where breaking and loading similar to a shotgun, with.177 cal would get you about 1, 100 fps, with accuracy to hit an aspirin at 25-30’. I had a .22 cal Beeman Carbine, that I hit and killed a seagull with in fight! Then a .22 cal FWB 127 that hat 900 fps.
