As a Jew and one who has spent years in Israel I can say that the food looks very authentic and the decor is as authentic as you can get in the USA. Nothing like time in a Bedouin tent though the atmosphere is just superb!

Franz, what your mother ordered was shish kebab. There are two ways to put it on a stick and the result varies on how you put it in the first place. The shami kebab is definitely authentic.
