A Day in My Life as a Teacher Working from Home 🍎

A day in my life as a teacher who works from home :) working from home is something I thought I could never do as a teacher, and I've definitely searched for my fair share of remote jobs / WFH jobs (work from home jobs). I always thought I'd have to work in the classroom as a teacher, but I was surprised to know there are work-from-home jobs as a teacher, too. What a time! Please enjoy this work from home routine ~

I took this job a year ago after feeling like something was missing when I left the classroom. I love being a content creator but equally love teaching and working with kids :) so I figured.. let’s continue doing both - but from home! Thankfully I’m not on zoom all day every day 😅 I hope you enjoy a day in my life!

Enjoyed your video. You seem like a great asset to that job and those students. After teaching over 20 years in public and private schools, I spent the last 5 years of my career teaching students from China, Korea, and Canada online through a few different schools/platforms. I loved it! Even though I was getting up very early in the morning (Texas time) to teach Asian nighttime hours, it was still very fulfilling. Now I am officially retired with lots of travel plans in my future. :)

Such a great video. It’s very fascinating the way this job and position works. It seems like a very helpful resource for homeschooling families my sister homeschooled her kids for a while and she didn’t have that kind of a resource near us.

Thank you Maya for sharing this! This is my 7th year teaching and I’ve been considering looking into a remote job because I want to be able to cater more to my own kids. Teaching in person has been so demanding and exhausting as of lately so this video really helps with grasping how teaching remotely may look like.

I love this! My son's second grade teacher left the profession due to frustration with being in the classroom. I think having an option like this would've helped her stay in teaching. I don't know where she is now but I hope other teachers who may want to leave the physical classroom will look into virtual classrooms. Thank you for sharing your day!
